Italy: Here's your quick list of Italian strikes.
Public transportation alike.  Air Traffic Controllers, pilots, trains, buses on strike.  Taxi's will be slim. To make matters worse they have arranged them to co-inside with Italian public holidays. Good for natives, but misery for travelers.  Be prepared to be stranded.  Book hotel for just incase and cancel when timely.  Put number in cell phone.  Sharpen elbows and call the person who sold you the ticket, it's just possible your mode of transportation won't be on strike.  Look on the bright side of life. The list is changing all the time, hard to keep legitimate information coming in.

                            List of Italian strikes
For 2018!
Italy last year, even though a third were canceled. 413 bus and metro strikes, 301 airline strikes and 216 train strikes were declared.
It is hard trying to catch and translate these strikes. As fast as they are called it seems they never happen. Trying to keep track of times is another thing altogether. Which is done on purpose.  2009 Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is attempting to change Italian strike laws.
