Today an Icelandair flight from Keflavik to Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport was delayed for five hours! Plane in question had a toilet collection tank, problem. Same plane that had electronic problems with undercarriage in Boston, Monday.

15 May 2016 Flights from and to Reykjavik Airport will likely be delayed, cancelled or brought forward due to French air traffic control strike.
French air traffic controllers will strike on Thursday May 19, 2016. (and perhaps 26 May) If strike goes ahead airlines will be asked to cut back flights to and from France. Stay in close contact with your airline. Air France will take brunt of strike action. French national rail company is also striking.
French taxi drivers are threatening to join in.

If you are changing flights in France and have a long lay over in a French international arrivals lounge. Get a French visa as you will be sleeping on a cot in the lounge while other passengers sleep in a comfortable hotel bed with private bathroom. March 2016 saw 140 passengers sleeping on the floor at Orly Airport.
Expect knock-on effect.

Update:-May 26, 2014 Cabin crew and pilots have made wage deals, good till next summer only.
Update:-15 May 2014 Icelandic parliament gets involved and puts the breaks on anymore strike action.
An agreement must be made by pilots and management by June 1, 2014.
Update:-Monday May 12, 2014 Last Friday several flights were cancelled. Cabin crew now state they will not do overtime on Sunday, May 18th and threaten future strike action.
Icelandair pilots Association (FIA) cancel all pilots overtime. from 6am May 9, 2014.
