Two thirds of French air traffic controllers to strike, Tuesday 26 January, 2016. Talks will be on going till Monday. It’s enough workers to not show up for work, that it will ruin your travel plans.
Be prepared for your flight to be brought forward to Monday, canceled or delayed. Airlines will likely be asked to cut back flights to and from France. No airport will get a pass.
Earlier this week a coalition of airlines was formed
“Airline for Europe” - EasyJet, Ryanair, Air France - KLM.
Along with airport fees this coalition wants new air traffic control strike rules across Europe.

Air France likely to take the brunt of any strike action. Come the day, Air France will have a contingency plan in place. Can you get away with only hand luggage? Re-think any public transportation plans, that includes taxi's. Taxi's will be on strike and will block main roads. It's likely your airport road. Be prepared to hoof it with your luggage. In fact, change your ticket for the day after.

If you are flying on these days to France, from France or over French air space expect your flight to be delayed, cancelled or brought forward. French air traffic control will ask airlines to cancel a certain percentage of flights - as much as 50% is possible. Can you adjust your plans before everyone else does? You will likely occur a fee, otherwise airlines not likely to know what's going on till 24 - 48 hours before strike action. It really depends on which non union controllers will show up for work. This is an old festering bitter dispute. Here's the SNCTA in French announcement.
This will likely be a national shut down, grounding of flights. By law a certain percentage of flights have to run.
Call your airline. Your flight will be brought forward, cancelled or delayed. Don't get caught in a lay over in French customs. Do you have a French visa? That way you can sleep in a hotel instead of a cot on the international arrivals floor. Flying in and out of Paris? You might want to book a hotel and cancel when fit. Hotel and car hire will be slim pickings. Perhaps SNCF will put on extra trains. Eurostar will likely be booked.

October 10 Stike in full force today. Southern France airports hit the worst. This is where Single Skies cuts will effect the most. Flights not likely to be back to normal till Friday afternoon. September 20, 2013 Regarding Pan-European air traffic controllers strike. We do not know if French air traffic controllers will join in with this strike, yet. We do not know if it will be a rolling strike or 24 hour. More to be announced next week.

DGCA has asked all airlines to cut back flights this week by 50%. Call your airline, last thing you need is to be sleeping at the airport. All French airports to be hit. We have learned it will not just be French atc workers but Hungry, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Austria and Belgium. French air traffic controllers are included. They will strike starting (approximately) Wednesday (tomorrow) night 1800 UTC till Friday, 0600 UTC. Nothing really set yet. No official airport announcements etc. Keep an eye on your airline. Maybe, random times at different airports. By law minimal service will be guaranteed and who shows up for work at your airport. Brest Airport expected to be hit worst, Air France, Flybe and Ryanair. 19 October 2012 CFMU is reporting that French air traffic controllers will strike next week.

French civil aviation authority DGAC have not a clue yet how traffic will be effected.

12, Jan. France, civil aviation authority is asking airlines to cut their Paris traffic by up to 50 percent on Wednesday from 7 am to 11 am because of snow and icy weather. After 11am, 15 percent of flights will be cancelled.
Air France long hauls will run as usual.
Traffic at Orly will be cut in half. Air France will cut half of European flights out of Orly.
Air France will cancel 75 percent of European flights at Charles de Gaulle.
A strike by air traffic controllers is also planned for Wednesday and Thursday. The DGAC civil aviation authority recommends that travelers contact their airlines to get flight information.
1/12/10 The DGAC said Tuesday it has asked companies to cancel 30 to 50 percent of flights Wednesday at Charles de Gaulle, the larger of Paris' two airports. It asked airlines to cut traffic at Orly airport by 50 percent.
