8, December, 09 Thousands of bus passengers were left stranded across Brisbane's western suburbs, wildcat strike by drivers today.

100 Drivers walked of the job. Sewage leaking from portable toilet at the depot site had been reported yesterday but the council failed to act. Drivers apologise, but they can't work in such conditions. Risk of carrying sewage onto bus is high.Incident may spread to other depots
Parents this means school kids will have to get home some how along with disgruntled and stranded commuters. Bus drivers will meet early tomorrow morning, peak-hour services across the city could be affected.
"It's likely stoppages will affect the afternoon peak hour."
The stop-work action has impacted services on bus routes including routes: 104, 193, 195, 198, 199, 302, 303, 304 and 323.
Limited services are running on routes 196 and 197.
