STOP YOU NEED BARCELONA AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL

Don't stop here see who else is on strike  messing with your travel plans!

We post as we gather information.
11 April 2011  Your good to go. No strikes planned.

March 24, 2011 That's it, Spanish airport union workers agree with deal. Agreement is good to 2018. Air Traffic controllers are in the mist of a law suit over last summers random strike.  So you are good to go. Only question we have is that Spanish pilots have yet to get a retirement agreement Iberia Airlines and subsidiary Vueling. Spanish train drivers also have had industrial unrest lately. Just keep your ears open as we will. Relax your Easter and summer holiday travel is going to be fine. We still recommend booking a hotel at your going and departure airport. Cancel when boarding.

22 March union members countrywide having meetings.
18 March 2010 Regarding Spanish airport strike. Still have to cross the t's and dot the i.  Spanish union members to ratify vote. Results due in Thursday, 2pm March 24.

Spanish airport workers will strike. Baggage handlers and firefighters will cause all Spanish airports to be closed. Every airline will be effected. Give your airline and travel agent time to digest this news, then call them in a couple of days. Perhaps book Eurostar or a coach? We suggest changing flight to Portugal or France and renting a car. Rentals will also become sparse and expensive. Spain is broke and has to continue with "Austerity measures" Perhaps Spanish government and workers can come up with a deal, still time. We will continue to monitor this situation. What's your plan B? We'd like to know. contact@easytravelreport.com
