6 November 2011 A bit more information came in today from Nick, a viewer. Taxi drivers will meet on Monday in Madrid. Santa Cruz de Tenerife taxi drivers will stay home Friday November 11.

4 November Spanish taxi drivers threatening to (only for now) blocking ports, airports.  Make sure you have transport to and from airports.

This is what can happen, be prepared.

12/17/09 Thousands of Spanish taxi drivers blocked main roads across central Madrid and other major cities to protest moves to deregulate their industry. Traffic Going to Madrid's main Barajas airport was at a standstill.
