First Bus, drivers in South Yorkshire.
I/18/10 Olive Grove depot, Sheffield, issues never resolved from last October. Talks are planned for next week between all parties and balloting of union members is Friday, Jan 29.
10/10/09 Monday strike has been called off
10 July,09 Angry bus drivers showed up at Olive Grove bus depot in Sheffield to protest. Commuters scrambled for rides, walked and squeezed onto other operator Stagecoach Yorkshire buses. Stagecoach added extra buses. Issues not settled expect more industrial action.

Free Bee bus service, and services run by other bus operators such as Stagecoach, TM Travel, Powells, Mass BrightBus and community transport services, are unaffected.
Stagecoach Supertram and all local rail services will also operate as normal.
A handful of First services will still be running.
Will strike Friday, 10 July, 2009 over a pay row for 24 hours. Start and ending time? The 24-hour strike begins at midnight tonight and ends at midnight tomorrow.
Gripe:-. Introductory hourly wage of between £6 and £7 per hour, after18 months of service drivers hourly pay is £9.13. Better pay than at rival Stagecoach. Union Unite wants it up to £10, to come inline with other subsidiaries such as Leeds. Also Unite wants First to offer double pay for overtime and drivers to retire at 50 instead of 65!
According to First that's a 28 percent increase in wages.and demands were unreasonable in the current economic climate.
For you:- It will affect all routes and cause severe disruptions for commuters across Southern Yorkshire. If you can't get a ride, can you work from home? Pump your bike tires up and find your walking shoes.

Service to Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Keepmoat Stadium, Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping, The Dome, Doncaster Racecourse and Frenchgate will all be affected.
Going by bus to Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport could be a problem, services 91 and 391 will most probably be disrupted.
