7, October, 2009 Supertram staff have called off their planned strike, which was due to coincide with a walkout by Sheffield bus drivers, following a revised pay offer by Stagecoach. The new offer will be put to a ballot of Unite members on October 21 and 22.
8, October,09 Nottingham tram workers on strike Friday and Saturday, 2,3, October, 2009. Unions rejected pay offer from Nottingham Tram Consortium management over a huge change for employees from salaried to hourly status in 2009 with pay increases in 2010 and 2011, in exchange for a reduction in allowances.
This weekend is Goose Fair, take the bus. Nottingham City Transport will provide frequent buses from city center, stopping at Mansfield Road and Forest Gate.
On Friday 2nd October
* Buses will depart Phoenix Park at 6am and then every 15 minutes until 5.45pm
* Buses will depart City Centre, Friar Lane at 6.30am and then every 15 minutes until 6.15pm
On Saturday 3rd October
* Buses will depart Phoenix Park at 8.30am and then every 15 minutes until 6.15pm
* Buses will depart City Centre, Friar Lane at 9.00am and then every 15 minutes until 6.45pm
2 August, 09 Nottingham tram operators, new strike called off. GMB union recommending new pay deal 1% rise and no reduction in sick pay to members on Tuesday.
Thursday, July, 27 Tram drivers and conductors walk out. Will strike again Monday 3 August, 09
