6, October, 2009, Public transportation strike in Amsterdam, The Hague and Utrecht Rotterdam. Wednesday, 7, October, 2009.  Strike hours 9am to 4pm, no trams or buses. Rotterdam between 10.00 and 16.00. Before and after they will run as normal, so commute will be over crowded and expect traffic jams. Metro will be unaffected.

A legal ban will be in the courts today at 10am.

Why:-Protesting change to state pension plans to raise the age from 65 to 67 years old.
