November 4, 2013 Flights from Cyprus will be in trouble this week as Greek air traffic controllers will strike on Wednesday November 6 from 10:00 - 13:00 UTC Time. Change your flight, call your airline, particularly if catching an international flight from Athens. Nothing worse than spending hours at the airport.

Friday August 2, 2013 Announced today a Greek civil aviation strike is being planned for three days. August Friday August 9 - Sunday August 11. Three rolling 24 hour strikes. 300 workers have to be let go. Air traffic controllers are not striking it's airport workers luggage handlers, ramp workers perhaps even check in desks.
Call in late for work, don't go back till Tuesday.
Also striking 500 workers from the culture ministry, you may find archaeology sites closed.
