23 July 2011 Arik Air strands passengers in Senegal due to Nigerian government inability to pay airport charges

May 2011 The regulatory Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) suspended the licences of two Nigerian Arik Air pilots. They flew a Boeing 69 passenger 737-700 after a bird strike or one hour on one engine. Reported by Punch newspaper. (We thought these Boeings were designed to fly on one engine if necessary)
