                  Aeromexico Strike 2017
24 May 2017 Strike threat over with. Union ASSA sign deal for 6% wage increase. Airline first quarter lost 258 million pesos.

23 May 2017 Aeromexico management and Association of Aviation Surcharges (ASSA) in talks. Union now announce strike action Thursday, 1 June 2017
Union Assa represents approx. 1,300 stewards and flight attendants.
Aeromexico fly’s to more destinations than in 2013, add to this codesharing with Delta Airlines, busy airline.
Be ready, perhaps figure out which airline you can change to in advance.

As this is a low cost airline, runs similar to Spirit Airlines which also fly's to similar routes. Any industrial action is probably not covered by them.

Be ready, make sure you have room on your credit card for another flight which isn't low cost.
You might also want to pay for a hotel both ends of your trip and cancel closer to the date.
Or be the first to seek-out premium seats to sleep on! No joke see sleepinginairports.net

Ryanair has a baggage handlers strike going on right now at Madrid Airport. Although Ryanair announce that workers are now back to work, airline is still on alert. Ryanair adjusted to this strike by giving passengers a choice of landing in another airport, change flight to a different day or fly with no luggage. Perhaps your airline will follow a similar routine or use managers as handlers or bring in scabs.
