Update:-12 June 2018 Westjet will no longer outsource Swoop pilot's. Westjet pilots will now fly Swoop planes. Airline held hostage in a sense, unions now expect low cost airline Swoop pilots to have same salary as Westjet pilots.
Update:-Sunday 28 May, 2018 News out today the new subsidiary airline Swoop pilots will be unionized. ALPA scores!
Update:-Friday evening, May 25, 2018 You can relax. Pilot's have agreed to yet more mediation. Threat of strike action has gone. Pilot's and airline urge passengers to book and travel with confidence.

Update:-Friday, 11 May 2018 Negotiations still on going. Pilot's state the earliest they will strike is 21 May, 2018, after long week-end, Victoria Day. Passengers flocking over to Air Canada.
Friday, 27 April, 2018 WestJet the 60 day federal conciliation period ended today. The 21 day cooling period for WestJet pilots is now in effect.
